Evan is such a ham. I think every person who lives in Thatcher has a picture like this in front of the tree outside the EAC auditorium. I love the green grass, and so does Evan.

Evan has learned to roll down the hill and loves watching the ants that crawl around on this tree. You can tell by his red face that summer is miserable though. We don't get long walks like we used to anymore. However, he is more than excited when the sprinklers are running.

Madilyn hates lying down now. She is always trying to lift her head up so she can see what's going on. She is cooing a lot lately. We have had some horrible nights lately. Todd had to take yesterday off work because we only got 2 hours of sleep that night. I don't know why she is so irritable at night. I have a doctor's appointment for her this afternoon. I am thinking she has an earache even though she hasn't had a fever. I hope they find something wrong so that there is hope for more sleep at night. Poor baby.

I finally chopped my hair off yesterday. I was tired of my hair hanging in Madilyn's face while I was trying to feed her. It wasn't cut exactly like I wanted it and she took 8 inches off instead of 5!! but I like it anyway. It'll probably grow back really fast and I'll wish it was short again. You can tell how tired I am after that sleepless night with the hge dark circles under my eyes.

Kids are a lot of work!

It seems like there's never a dull moment in our house. We are refinancing our house right now and had to clean it really well for the appraisal, so the rest of the week I haven't done a whole lot of cleaning. Our house is the cleanest that it's been since we've moved in though, and I am loving it.

Madilyn has some sort of strange cough right now. She doesn't have a stuffy nose or fever, so it's kind of weird, and worrisome. I guess we have been really lucky as far as illness is concerned though.

Evan loves to lay on the floor next to Madilyn, although he isn't ever very gentle with her. But guess what?!! He is finally potty-training! He's only had a few accidents over the last few days and is totally in love with his Spiderman underwear. He's so proud of himself (as are we). I can't wait to get rid of diapers!
Todd has been looking around for another job. Having two kids and the horrible economy is really hard on us. I have been trying to get extra shifts at work, but it's hard to find days to work when I won't have to find a babysitter. We'll survivie though.
Overall, we are just enjoying how adorable our children are. They always amaze me! Being a mom is the best ever!

Just another manic thursday

This is one of those RARE times when both kids are napping. Hurray! I should be napping too, but chose to clean instead. Yuck! We went to the park today only to find mud under the shaded slides and the sun wasn't being nice at all to the unshaded ones. Then we went shopping at wal-mart. It is such a pain to shop alone with a baby and a three-year-old! I don't think I'll do that again for awhile!

The swing was the best thing ever to be invented. I credit my clean house to this nifty device.

These smiles make it all better!

We went to the park today and when we got home, we found out that we were locked out. Daddy had the keys with him and he was in Pima. Thank goodness I had the cell phone to call him and hose to cool Evan down. I got him a little too cold though because he bundled up on the couch once we got inside.
