We are finally getting some relief. Cassandra is starting to feel a little better. She is getting a little stronger all of the time. She still has some setbacks, but at least she is getting some good days. Poor Evan is struggling with the situation. He shows his frustration through anger at me and especially Cassandra. He doesn't understand why mom can't play with him, why he has to go to a baby sitter's house (sometimes two per day), or go stay with grandpa and grandma for days at a time. It's been very hard for him. Although he at least is able to get more attention from them than we are currently able to give him. That will be changing soon--we hope. Cassandra is actually feeling good enough that she is going to try watching him next week. That may not sound like much, but for us that is a lot improvement. We are SO grateful for the help we have had from family and friends. We aren't out of the clear yet, but we are getting there. We had our first ultrasound and the baby is looking good. We can't wait to find out if it will be a boy or a girl.
